Vs. Alaska Avalanche ¬" Selland Arena ¬" Fresno, CA
WEDNESDAY, 11/24/2010: The Fresno Monsters and the Alaska Avalanche combined for a total of 12 goals and 177 penalty minutes between the two teams. The Monsters ended up with the short-end of the stick, dropping by a final score of 7-5.
FRIDAY, 11/26/2010: The Monsters fell to the Avalanche for the second-straight game, this time by a final score of 4-1. The Avalanche lead 3-1 before adding an empty-netter to seal the win.
SATURDAY, 11/27/2010: The Fresno Monsters dropped another close game to the 1st place Alaska Avalanche, this time by a final score of 3-2. Fresno killed all 5 Alaska power play opportunities.
Fresno Monsters WSHL News:
The Fresno Monsters WSHL team hit the road this weekend to battle defending league champion Phoenix Polar Bears. The WSHL Monsters are 15-3 for 30 points and 2nd place in the Western Division. Phoenix has a record of 11-7-3 for 25 points and 4th place in the Western Division.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
JORDAN LOVICK: Lovick recorded a point per game last week including an assist on Wednesday, a goal and 3rd star of the game honors on Friday, and a power play goal on Saturday against the Avalanche.
JEFFREY PAULUK: Pauluk tallied an assist in each game last week against the Alaska Avalanche and earned 3rd star of the game honors in Saturday's game.
LUIS PUIG: Puig had an impressive game on Saturday despite the score, stopping 34 of 37 shots on goal and a 0.919 save percentage. Puig also helped the Monsters kill all 5 Alaska power play chances.
