WEEKEND RECAP

Vs. Dawson Creek Rage - Encana Events Center, B.C.

FRIDAY, 11/12/2010: The Fresno Monsters came back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game at 3 with just 0:39 left in regulation to force overtime against the Dawson Creek Rage. Fresno's John Siemer scored the game-winner in overtime to seal the 4-victory. Goaltender Tom Conlin made 33 of 36 saves to earn his first win in a Monster sweater.

SATURDAY, 11/13/2010: The Monsters dropped a close decision in an overtime shootout to the Dawson Creek Rage by a final score of 3-2. The Monsters still earned a point in the standings. The Monsters were 2 for 6 on the power play for 33.3% with the extra-man advantage.

SUNDAY, 11/14/2010: The Fresno Monsters defeated the Rage by a final score of 2-1 in regulation. This was the 5th contest with Dawson Creek, all of which were one-goal hockey games. The Monsters improved to 4-0-1 against the Rage on the season.

Fresno Monsters WSHL News:

The Fresno Monsters WSHL team completed a three-game weekend sweep and six-game series sweep of the Arizona Redhawks in Arizona. The Monsters remain in 1st place in the WSHL with a season record of 15-3 for 30 points.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT

TOM CONLIN: Conlin had a great first weekend as a Monster. Friday he stopped 33 of 36 shots and earned his first win in his first game. He stopped 31 of 33 Saturday and 32 of 33 Sunday against the Dawson Creek Rage to earn a .941 save percentage.

JOHN SIEMER: Siemer notched an assist, the game-winning overtime goal, 1st star of the game honors on Friday and an assist in Saturday's game.

WILLIE HESS: Hess had an impressive weekend against Dawson Creek & as a result of his efforts was announced as the SBK Hockey/West Player of the Week. He recorded 1 goal, 2 assists, & 3rd star of the game honors on Friday, a goal & a shootout goal on Saturday, & the game-winning goal & 1st star of the game on Sunday.
