Monsters' Move To North American Hockey League Is Official

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Monsters are pleased to announce that the team's move to the North American Hockey League beginning in the 2010-2011 season has been officially approved today. In December the Monsters were granted conditional approval for an expansion membership. Fresno Ice, LLC met all necessary requirements for complete expansion membership beginning next season. The Monsters will wrap up the 2009-2010 season home games this month. On Friday, January 22nd at Selland Arena, the Monsters will battle the Idaho Jr. Steelheads at 7:30pm.
Friday is Military, Fire, & Law Enforcement Appreciation Night with the United States Honor Flag presentation at the game. The U.S. Honor Flag was flown at Ground Zero immediately following the attacks on September 11th, 2001. The Monsters are offering $5 tickets to all active military, veterans, firefighters, & law enforcement (up to 4 tickets per family member).
Saturday, January 23rd is Mixed Martial Arts Night at 7:30pm at Selland Arena against Idaho Jr. Steelheads.

Friday, January 29th is the last regular season home game of the 2009-2010 season.
It's Pack the House Night and Fan Appreciation Night at Selland Arena at 7:30pm against the Long Beach Bombers.
