
Mohawks Announce 2013 First Baseman

Amsterdam Mohawks News Release
The Amsterdam Mohawks announce the signing of two first baseman, John Nogowski (Florida State) and Dylan Smith (Auburn), for the 2013 campaign.
Nogowski is Florida State's first baseman and regular five hole hitter. The sophomore from Talahassee, FL is currently hitting .289 on the season for the 42-11 and 8th ranked Seminoles.
Smith, from Pinson, AL and a freshman at Auburn, has played sparingly for the 32-21 Tigers. In high school, Dylan, who stands 6'3 220 pounds, was ranked as the 125th high school player in America by PerfectGame USA and is expected to play a big role in 2014 for Auburn.
The Mohawks will begin their title defense on June 5th in Albany against the Dutchmen. They then play their home opener on Thursday, June 6th against the Utica Brewers and follow it up with its first of five post-game fireworks shows on Saturday June 8.
