COLUMBUS CREW vs. HOUSTON DYNAMO - No TV

COLUMBUS CREW STADIUM, Columbus, Ohio - 7:30 p.m.

Complete game preview: http://web.mlsnet.com/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20060922&content_id=73414&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp

For the Columbus Crew, their playoff future is quite simple at this point - they cannot afford to lose any more games. With four games left and seven points out of fourth place, a loss to Houston Dynamo at home and a Kansas City victory in New England will mean they fail to reach the MLS Cup Playoffs for a second consecutive season. Dynamo are still sitting in second place in the Western Conference, but after just one in their last six games, they have just a one point margin on the tie for third place and are just four points from being out of the top four altogether.

FC DALLAS vs REAL SALT LAKE - FSN Utah

Pizza Hut Park, Frisco, Texas - 8:30 p.m.

Complete game preview: http://web.mlsnet.com/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20060922&content_id=73417&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp

A weekend ago on the Wasatch Front, Real Salt Lake went down a man early, yet fought back with two second-half goals to claim a 3-2 victory against FC Dallas. Now the teams play in the back end of their home-and-home series with plenty on the line. With just a single point on Saturday, the Hoops ensure they'll be a part of the MLS Cup Playoffs - which they've failed to do for two matches running. RSL currently finds itself out of the playoff picture, but with a victory in Frisco and a victory either way in Carson, they will pull back into a tie for fourth place in the Western Conference.

The Chicago Fire and Los Angeles Galaxy meet for the first time of two encounters over the next five days, before they play in the U.S. Open Cup Final next Wednesday in Bridgeview. But first it's a vitally important league match - especially for the defending MLS Cup champion Galaxy, who must make up six points for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference if they are to avoid failing to reach the postseason for the first time ever and becoming just the second team in MLS history to miss the playoffs after winning MLS Cup. The Fire now lead the New England Revolution by just three points for second place in the East, though a victory guarantees their place in the big dance.

CHIVAS USA vs. COLORADO RAPIDS - FSN West

The Home Depot Center, Carson, Calif. - 10:30 p.m.

Complete game preview: http://web.mlsnet.com/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20060922&content_id=73409&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp

A game with massive implications is ahead at The Home Depot Center, where the two teams tied for third place in the Western Conference face off. Chivas USA and the Colorado Rapids are both currently holding on to playoff spots, but a victory by either team - and by Real Salt Lake in Dallas - and suddenly the loser will find itself back into a tie for the last spot. A triumph could also propel the victor past Houston Dynamo into second place in the division (with a Columbus Crew victory at home), and possibly six points clear of the drop zone with just three matches to play.
