MLS Issues Disciplinary Committee Decisions for Week 25

NEW YORK (September 3, 2014) - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has determined that Sporting Kansas City and the Houston Dynamo violated the League's mass confrontation policy in the 42nd minute of their game on August 29 (VIDEO). Both teams received an official warning for their first violations of the season.

Montreal Impact defender Hassoun Camara has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for serious foul play which endangered the safety of an opponent in the 64th minute of the game against the Columbus Crew on August 30.

Seattle Sounders midfielder Gonzalo Pineda has been fined an undisclosed amount for simulation in the 34th minute of the game against the Colorado Rapids on August 30.

The Committee has also fined D.C. United midfielder Luis Silva an undisclosed amount for simulation in the 6th minute of his team's August 31 match against the New York Red Bulls.

Finally, Chivas USA forward Erick Torres has been suspended one additional game and fined an undisclosed amount following the red card received for serious foul play which endangered the safety of an opponent in the 75th minutes of the game against the Los Angeles Galaxy on August 31. In total, Torres will serve a two-game suspension.
