20-20 VISION - On Saturday afternoon, there were five teams which scored at least 20 points and two games featured both teams reaching the 20-point mark. The Rochester Rattlers tied the league season-high by posting 26 points in a win over Boston. Meanwhile, New Jersey recorded its second 25-point effort of the year in a win over Washington, which also scored 20 points. San Francisco defeated Long Island by a 21-20 margin on Saturday night.

BEST OF THE WEST - With their 15-13 victory over the Chicago Machine on Saturday, the Denver Outlaws won their second straight Western Conference championship. By winning the Western Conference title, the Outlaws will either be the first or second seed for NB ZIP MLL Championship Weekend, which takes place on August 23 and 24 at Harvard Stadium in Boston.

ANOTHER TICKET PUNCHED - After defeating the Boston Cannons on Saturday night by a 26-19 margin, the Rochester Rattlers secured their second straight appearance in NB ZIP MLL Championship Weekend. The Rattlers lead the Eastern Conference with a 7-3 record and have won three straight games.

STAYING ALIVE - By defeating the Washington Bayhawks on Saturday night by a 25-20 margin, the New Jersey Pride remained alive in the playoff race. With a 4-6 record, the Pride are one of five teams still battling for the remaining two playoff berths. However, the Pride must win their two remaining games and get some help. A win by Philadelphia or Los Angeles this weekend or a New Jersey loss on Thursday eliminates the Pride.

HOME SWEET HOME - In addition to securing the Western Conference title, the Denver Outlaws also completed the third perfect home season in league history. The Los Angeles Riptide and Philadelphia Barrage each finished with a 6-0 home record last year.

TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER - With a four-goal effort against the Philadelphia Barrage on Saturday night, Los Angeles attackman Jesse Hubbard became the all-time leading goal scorer in Major League Lacrosse history, passing Mark Millon. He scored the milestone goal midway through the third quarter off an assist from Kyle Harrison. Hubbard, who spent the first seven seasons with New Jersey, has scored 242 goals in his MLL career.

GREAT EIGHT - Rochester Rattlers attackman John Grant, Jr. tied a team record by scoring eight goals, including a two-point tally, in the Rattlers' 26-19 win over Boston on Saturday night. He also added two assists to set a league season high with 11 points. Grant leads the MLL with 52 points in 10 games this year.

GREAT EIGHT, PART TWO - Washington Bayhawks attackman Andrew "Buggs" Combs tied a franchise record by scoring eight goals in the Bayhawks' 25-20 loss against New Jersey on Saturday night. He matched the team record set by Mark Millon on June 27, 2003 in a win over the Rochester Rattlers. Combs also added an assist in the loss.

NOT SO SUPER SIX - The Washington Bayhawks dropped their sixth straight game with the five-point loss against New Jersey on Saturday night. It is the longest losing streak in the team's eight-year history. The Bayhawks have not won since a 14-11 rain-shortened decision against Rochester on June 7.

JUMPIN' IN JULY - The Rochester Rattlers had an outstanding month of July, winning all three of their games. They averaged 21.0 points per game and scored a season-high 26 points in last week's victory over Boston. They also allowed just 30 goals, including three two-point markers, in the three games. Attackman John Grant, Jr. led the Rattlers with 17 points (12+1+4).

PLAYING WITH PRIDE - New Jersey attackman Merrick Thomson has also played well during the month of July, leading all players with 15 goals this month. He tied a New Jersey team record with seven goals against Long Island on July 3 and had a five-goal effort against Washington last week. Entering Thursday's game against Washington, he has 15 goals with 6 assists in four games this month.

YOU JUST CAN'T STOP HIM - Chicago Machine attackman Kevin Leveille tied the MLL record for consecutive games with a goal by scoring in his 47th straight game on Saturday afternoon at Denver. He scored four goals to match the record set by Rochester attackman John Grant, Jr. During his current streak, Leveille has scored 141 goals with 36 assists.

SILVER SCORING - The New Jersey Pride recorded 20 or more points for the second time this year with a 25-20 victory over Washington on Saturday, marking the third time in team history that the Pride have posted a pair of 20-point efforts. It is also the first time in team history that the Pride have scored over 25 points twice in the same season.

TRIPLE THREAT - Entering this week's action, Rochester Rattlers attackman John Grant, Jr. leads the MLL in three statistical categories. He has scored a league-high 37 goals in 10 games while his four two-point goals are tied for the league lead. Grant, who is the reigning Warrior Offensive Player of the Year and Bud Light MVP, also leads the MLL with 52 points. He set a league record with 71 points last year for the Rattlers.
