SOPHOMORE SUPERSTAR
Washington's Kyle Dixon
In his second season as a Washington Bayhawk, Kyle Dixon is having remarkable year. Everyone knew Dixon was talented; he just hadn't had the opportunity to prove himself. Last year Dixon was hampered by a broken thumb injury, limiting his season to five games. This season Dixon has come back on a mission, to prove that he can perform well in the MLL.
FIVE GUYS THAT I'D PAY 50 BUCKS TO WATCH
5. Doc: The man with the mouth is still the man. I must admit I prefer tubby Doc to this tasty-cake-free edition that is wreaking havoc across the league, but I'll take him regardless. There is a fine line between showman and jackass and Doc-herty is the standard by which that line is drawn in lacrosse. He's a polarizing guy. One of my colleagues made the mistake of ripping Doc a few years ago in an article for LaxNation. The following year a friend of mine claimed to be the person that had ripped him in the article and reportedly Doc had to be held back from ripping the guys head off. That's awesome. Seriously, it is. Doc is proof that you need to be more than a little crazy to step into the cage. It ain't braggin' if you back it up - and back it up is what Doc does.

LEADING THE WAY: SPENCER FORD
L.A.'s Spencer Ford
Leading the league in assists, Spencer Ford is an all star to watch. A Bud Light MVP two weeks ago in L.A.'s game versus Chicago, Ford scored 5 goals and had two assists for the Riptide. Playing in this year's All-Star Game, he is one of four attackmen representing the west coast. And with 27 assists heading into this weekend, Ford is on pace to break the league's single-season assist record. Not bad for a guy who came into the season with just 14 career assists.
