Mississippi Hound Dogs Announce Players of the Week for April 7th, 2012
(Tupelo) - The Mississippi Hound Dogs are proud to announce their Offensive and Defensive Players of the week for their game on April, 07th against the Lakeland Raiders. Their Offensive Player of the week is Kick Return/Wide Receiver, Reggie Ellis from Plant City, FL who scored 1 touchdown with 4 receptions for a total of 72 yards and had another 76 yards in kick returns. And their Defensive Player of the week is Defensive Back, Arthur Williams from Atlanta, GA who had 2 tackles, 5 assists, 1 interception and 2 pass breakups and 13 yards in kick returns.
Coach Bingham said that he is very proud of both of these players for their athletic ability and the persistency that they show in each game that they play. Both players give over 100% in every game and he is looking forward to seeing them advance their careers later in the CFA, Arena 1 or NFL.
General Manager, Marty Cooper said that they are half way through the season and are still in position for playoffs and will be reevaluating their roster this coming week, as they look forward to finishing out the season strong.
They will be back in action at the Bancorp South Arena on Saturday, April 21st as they host the Eastern Kentucky Drillers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and pregame activities begin at 7:00 p.m. with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and tailgating starts at 5 p.m. in the BancorpSouth Parking Lot.
