NOTABLE:
- The Milwaukee Wave became the first team to clinch a spot in the 2005 MISL Championship Series over the weekend. The Wave has now made the playoffs 12 years in a row. The Championship Series kicks off the weekend of April 29 - May 1.
- The Cleveland Force swept MISL Player of the Month honors for March on Tuesday, with Jim Larkin (Goalkeeper), Genoni Martinez (Defensive), and John Ball (Offensive) all claiming awards.
- "Team Granitza," coached by Karl-Heinz Granitza, defeated "Team Steffenhagen," with Arno Stefffenhagen at the helm, 4-1 in the Chicago Legends Game presented by the Chicago Storm on April 3 at the UIC Pavilion.
- Having placed goalkeeper Jeff Richey on the 15-Day Injured Reserve list, the Storm signed 42-year-old netminder Scoop Stanisic to a 15-day contract this past week. Stanisic, who last played professionally in 2000-01, has played 306 career games for seven different teams in a career that began in 1984-85. He played the 1986-88 seasons with the Chicago Sting, and becomes the first former Sting player to sign with the Storm.
- Kansas City Comets forward Dino Delevski, a three-time Most Valuable Player and Spalding Scoring Champion, is being highlighted in this week's "Ask The Pros" feature at www.misl.net. Fans may e-mail questions for Delevski to fanmail@misl.net through the weekend.
