Storm Notes - If there is any team that has reason to welcome the sizzling Baltimore Blast, it's the Storm, who will host Baltimore on Sunday. Chicago went 4-1 against the Blast last season. At that time Baltimore was the MISL's two-time defending champion and Chicago was an expansion team.
* John Ball, an All-MISL player at several positions, recorded his first multipoint game for the Storm Saturday (2G, 1A) in a 8-4 win over the California Cougars.
* Danny Waltman rebounded from two average starts and earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors in stopping 11 of 15 shots and scoring a fourth quarter goal.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Danny Waltman, GK, Chicago Storm, 5-10, 180
Danny Waltman was off to a slow start through the first couple of weeks of the 2005-06 season, however on Saturday at Chicago's UIC Pavilion, the second-year goalkeeper turned in a performance that led to Chicago's 8-4 victory over the California Cougars.. Waltman, who won the distinction several times last season, and was named to the MISL 2004-05 All-Rookie Team, saved 11 of 15 shots, and scored a goal in the closing moments to ice the win. The Waltman goal came in a fourth quarter in which he was pelted with seven California shots and successfully made three diving saves to preserve Chicago's first victory of the season. In fact three of the four goals he surrendered came when the Storm was playing in man-down situations or off the restart. Waltman's goals against average improved to 5.71 with the effort. In his first MISL season in 2004-05, the University of Washington graduate and Gig Harbor, Wash., native, started 36 of 39 games for the Storm, had a record of 18-18, a goals against average of 5.23, and a .687 save percentage.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Troy Dusosky, D, Milwaukee Wave, 6-1, 200
Troy Dusosky has overcome the knee injury that forced him to miss half of last season and the entire 2005 MISL Championship Series, won by the Wave. He has returned this year as a central fixture in Milwaukee's steady defense and patented style of play. In defeating championship contender Philadelphia on the road, 6-3, on Saturday, Dusosky and the Wave made a statement. In Saturday's game Dusosky led the Wave with two blocks, attempted two shots and muscled up and played aggressive defense against the KiXX', including their productive and imposing forward Shawn Boney (6-foot-7, 265-pounds). Boney went scoreless. Dusosky & Co. helped the Wave and goalkeeper Nick Vorberg improve to 3-0, shutting down their opponent on two power plays. Dusosky is a three-time All-Star.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Adauto Neto, F, Baltimore Blast, 5-10, 178
Two games in a Baltimore jersey, and forward Adauto Neto already has two five-point games, and two consecutive - MISL Offensive Player of the Week honors. Neto is the MISL's early season leader in the race for the Spalding Scoring Championship (10 points). The 24-year-old forward had two goals and three assists in Saturday's 12-5 win over the St. Louis Steamers at Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena. Playing before a crowd of 6,020, the native of Itabuna, Brazil scored at least one goal in his ninth consecutive regular season games. When you include his final seven games with Cleveland in the spring Neto has 16 goals and 22 points in his past nine MISL games. Neto fought through an injury-plagued 2004-05 season and managed to total 21 goals and 31 points in 25 games. Baltimore acquired Neto in the first round of the 2005 MISL Dispersal Draft (second overall selection).
