
MISL Names Players Of The Month

Offensive
Adauto Neto, Philadelphia KiXX
KiXX forward Adauto Neto finished the season maintaining the high level of play that he displayed throughout the entire season. For the month of March, he tallied 19 points while having to play seven games in 23 days. He recorded three goals and averaged nearly two assists a game with 13 helpers. Neto finished the MISL season as the league leader in both points (65) and assists (28 - 11 more than the closest player). He also finished the year by scoring at least a point in 19 straight games. Neto was also the February MISL Offensive Player of the Month.
Defensive
Josh Rife, Milwaukee Wave
Wave defender Josh Rife scored 14 points (one three-point goal, five two-point goals and one assist) and blocked 10 shots as the Wave posted a 4-0 record in March on their way to the MISL regular-season title. Rife scored a hat trick in the regular season championship-clinching victory over Monterrey on March 14. He ended the season with 36 blocks, tying Pat Morris of Philadelphia for the league lead. He also added 28 points. Rife, this week's MISL Player of the Week, was also the December MISL Defender of the Month.
Goalkeeper
Nick Vorberg, Milwaukee Wave
Nick Vorberg, the January Goalkeeper of the Month, repeats in March after winning both his starts in this month, saving 31 of 42 shots as the Wave captured the MISL regular-season title. Vorberg won the regular season title-clinching game over Monterrey and gave up 22 points in the two starts. For the season, Vorberg finished with an 8-4 record and a league-best 9.48 points-allowed average.
