MISL Comes to Fox Sports World

January 27, 2003 - Major Indoor Soccer League 2 (MISL 2) News Release


(Westport, Conn., January 21, 2003) – The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and Fox Sports World International have agreed to a two-year television package beginning with the current 2002-03 MISL season. This season, Fox Sports World will televise 10 games, including the 2003 MISL All-Star Game from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. All MISL games will be broadcast during prime time on Friday night (8:00 – 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time).

The first MISL telecast on Fox Sports World will take place on Friday, January 31, 2003, with the Cleveland Force taking on the Milwaukee Wave at the Bradley Center. Telecasts will continue for the following 9 Fridays. Fox Sports World has a total United States distribution of over 17 million homes covering all of the major metropolitan areas in the U.S. Fox Sports World is the premier worldwide soccer television provider of all the major soccer leagues in the world including the United States Soccer League and major tournaments including the FIFA World Cup Championship.

"The Major Indoor Soccer League is very excited about building a media partnership with Fox Sports World, which is the primary soccer network in the United States," said MISL Commissioner Steve Ryan. "After extensive discussions, the MISL concluded that Fox Sports World has the audience profile and enthusiasm to build a solid television foundation for the indoor game."
