
Minnesota Swarm's Matt Disher Named NLL Defensive Player of the Week

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today that Minnesota Swarm goaltender Matt Disher was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week #4 of the NLL season.
Disher, 28 (7/10/86), recorded 38 saves and allowed eight goals in a 9-8 win at San Jose on Saturday night. He also denied all nine Stealth power-play opportunities and collected six loose balls in the victory. Disher did not play in Friday's loss to the Buffalo Bandits. The Hagersville, Ontario-native is 2-1 with a 12.50 goals against average (GAA), a .769 save percentage and three assists in three games this season.
The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers & Head Coaches of the league's ten member clubs.
