
Minnesota Swarm's Four All-Stars Shine in West's 20-18 Win

BUFFALO, NY. - Fresh off a 15-7 victory late Friday night, several members of the Minnesota Swarm were right back in action for the 2012 NLL All-Star Game on Saturday evening. Transition player Andrew Suitor, F Ryan Benesch, F Callum Crawford and T Jordan MacIntosh all caught red-eye flights on the West Coast after defeating the Washington Stealth and each tallied two goals a piece in the West's 20-18 victory over the East in front of 13,446 fans at First Niagara Center in Buffalo. The game aired for the first time in league history on ESPN3.
Trailing 9-2 with 12:07 remaining in the second quarter, Crawford started an 18-9 run by the West after tallying his first goal of the game. MacIntosh notched his first career All-Star goal with .2 seconds remaining in the third to give the game its first tied score at 15-15 since both teams traded goals to open the contest. With the win, the West All-Stars snapped a four-game losing streak against the East.
Benesch and Crawford both made their second consecutive All-Star appearance, while Suitor and MacIntosh made their debuts on Saturday. Suitor also served as an assistant captain for the West All-Stars.
Minnesota (4-3) hits the road again next Saturday for a divisional game against the Calgary Roughnecks (5-2) at 8 p.m. CT.
