Minnesota Swarm News Release

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm will honor local heroes during Heroes Night at the Hive on Friday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. when the Swarm faces the Calgary Roughnecks on Treasure Island Field at Xcel Energy Center.

"This night is a great way for us to recognize and thank the men and women who serve and protect us locally," Swarm Co-Owner & Vice President Andy Arlotta said. "They deserve our gratitude and respect for everything that they do. They are true heroes."

Those to be honored include local military members, veterans, police officers, firefighters and nurses. Individuals can help send these heroes to the Hive by visiting mnswarm.com/heroes and donating tickets.

The night will include a ceremonial ball drop by Major General Richard C. Nash. General Nash enlisted in the military in 1972 and assumed duties as the Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard in November of 2010. His past tours of duty include Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iraq.

Members of the Swarm organization will also be honored by the Jefferson Awards for Public Service, a national nonprofit dedicated to encouraging a culture of volunteerism in high schools. High school student leaders from across the Twin Cities, who have demonstrated their commitment to community service, will present the awards to Swarm forward Corbyn Tao, assistant coach Aime Caines, and Native American Lacrosse Coordinator Brian Kimmell for their efforts made in Native American Youth Lacrosse programs.

Local companies are also encouraged to support Heroes Night by committing to one of three partnership levels. For more information, please contact Swarm Account Executive Paul Hutchens at (651) 726-1757.

Lower level tickets start as low as $20 and can be purchased by calling 1-888-MN-SWARM or visiting mnswarm.com.
