Minnesota Swarm Hosts New York Titans Saturday On Hawaiian Night

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm host the New York Titans Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center in a key East Division match-up to start a four-game homestand. The Swarm is undefeated at home this season winning all four games played at Xcel Energy Center outscoring opponents 54 to 35. Minnesota (7-4) needs a win Saturday to keep pace in the East Division playoff race as it leads the fifth place Titans (6-5) by one game with five matches left in the regular season.

Saturday is Hawaiian Night presented by Water Park of America and Grand Rios at Xcel Energy Center as the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Swarm Lei and fans will receive a Nick Patterson magnet as they leave the arena.

Andy Secore leads the Swarm in scoring this season with 52 points (20-32=52). Ryan Ward is second with 50 points (22-28=50) and rookie Craig Point ranks third with 49 points (22-27=49). Goaltender Nick Patterson is 7-3 with a 12.18 GAA and a .769 save percentage in 11 starts this season. Kevin Croswell suffered the loss in last weekend's 15-10 defeat at Chicago allowing three goals on 14 shots in relief of Patterson.

New York has won five of its last six games following a 16-9 road loss at Minnesota Feb. 8 to move back into the playoff race. Casey Powell leads the Titans in scoring with 63 points (25-38=63) and Pat Maddalena is second with 52 points (21-31=52). Matt Vinc is 5-4 with a 12.34 GAA and a .765 save percentage. Former Swarm Head Coach Adam Mueller is the bench coach for New York.
