
Minnesota Swarm Forward Ryan Ward Named Offensive Player of the Week

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today that Minnesota Swarm forward Ryan Ward has been named the NLL Offensive Player of the Week. He recorded seven points (3-4=7) and five loose balls to help lead the Swarm to a 12-9 victory over the New York Titans at Xcel Energy Center last Saturday.
The win improved Minnesota's home record to 5-0 and moved the team into a tie for first place in the East Division. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound native of Victoria, British Columbia leads the Swarm with 25 goals this season and ranks second with 57 points.
The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the league's 12 teams.
The Swarm (8-4) hosts the Philadelphia Wings (8-4) on Saturday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m. in a battle for first place in the East Division.
