
Minnesota Swarm Forward Kevin Buchanan Named to 2009 NLL All-Rookie Team

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced that Minnesota Swarm forward Kevin Buchanan has been named to the 2009 NLL All-Rookie Team.
"It is great to see Kevin rewarded for his hard work this season," said Swarm General Manager Marty O'Neill. "I look forward to his continued success."
Buchanan, 23 (5/9/86), recorded 45 points (22-23=45) and 58 loose balls in 11 games with Minnesota during 2009 campaign. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Cockeysville, Maryland ranked third on the Swarm in goals and tied for fourth in scoring and was twice named NLL Rookie of the Week. His point total was the third highest amongst rookies this season despite playing in only 11 games. Minnesota selected the Ohio State University graduate in the first round (11th overall) of the 2008 NLL Entry Draft.
