Minnesota Swarm Announces Details Of Youth Box League

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm is proud to announce its first-ever Youth Box Lacrosse League, starting this April. The Minnesota Swarm Box League is bringing traditional box lacrosse to the state of Minnesota.

The league will have three age levels: third and fourth grade; fifth and sixth grade; and seventh and eighth grade. Games will be played in three districts: South- Eagan Civic and Hayes Park Arenas; West- Hopkins Pavilion; and Northeast- Shoreview Arena.

There will be a pre-season player clinic with Swarm players and coaches, then during the season a clinic with Swarm coaches and general manager. The Swarm players will be involved in the league during the year. Participants will also receive tickets to three Swarm home games and a 10% discount on the Minnesota Swarm summer camp.

The All-Star games will be played before and after the final regular season home game at the Xcel Energy Center. For $175 a player, kids can get a chance to play in a box league, backed by a professional lacrosse team.
