SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Swarm General Manager Marty O'Neill announced today that the National Lacrosse League (NLL) club has acquired forward Jamie Taylor and the Rochester Knighthawks third round draft pick in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft in exchange for Minnesota's third round draft pick in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft. This trade is pending League approval.

"Acquiring Jamie greatly enhances our left side and gives him the opportunity to immediately become an impact player for the Swarm," said O'Neill.

Taylor, 24 (3/17/80), tallied one goal and two penalty minutes in one game with Rochester last season after being signed as a free agent on February 28. The 5-10, 190-pound forward registered 36 points (14-22=36) and 23 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Coquitlam Adanacs of the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) this summer. The Burlington, Ontario-native collected 28 points (16-12=28), 22 penalty minutes and 42 loose balls in 14 contests with Columbus during the 2003 campaign.

Taylor has recorded 48 points (26-22=48), 63 penalty minutes and 81 loose balls in 28 career NLL contests during four seasons with Toronto, Columbus, Buffalo and Rochester. He was originally selected by the Toronto Rock in the first round (9th overall) of the 2001 NLL Entry Draft.
