The Milwaukee Iron of the new Arena Football 1 League will hold its only east coast Free Agent Football Camp on Saturday, January 9, 2010 in the Rockville Sports Plex located at 60 South Lawn Court Rockville, MD 20850.
Registration will begin at 5.00 am; tryout at 5.40 am. The Iron staff will conduct the camp. This camp has limited space so it is highly recommended that you pre-register by calling 860-794-6645 or 775-229-1025 before Friday January 8, 2010 as spaces are filling up.
A pre-registration fee of $50.00 will be charged and must be paid in CASH during registration. A fee of $65.00 will be charged for all walk-ups (space permitting). You must be 18 years and older by January 8, 2010. Proper photo ID such as a valid driver's license will be needed. Directions are available @ www.rockvillesports.com. Best Western Rockville Hotel & Suites will offer special rates for Milwaukee Iron camp participants.. Accommodations can be booked at www.bestwesternrockville.com
"This is a great opportunity for us to look at players in this area," said Bob Landsee, Head Coach of the Iron. "We can never tell where we will find the next great player."
All participants will be required to sign a waiver and fill out a registration form before beginning any part of the workout. These forms will be available at the registration desk. Participants should be prepared to complete any drills that are done at professional football combines or tryouts including but not limited to Short Shuttle, 40-Yard Dash, Broad Jump, Bench Press, One-on-One, Three-on-Three Drills, etc. The tryout will be held indoors on a Turf surface, so you need to bring appropriate clothing and shoes (football cleats). You should also bring your own mouthpiece.
Coaches from other football leagues will also be on hand evaluating talent.
