Milwaukee Mustangs News Release

MILWAUKEE- Four members of the Milwaukee Iron staff contributed to raising more than $6,500 at the "Drive for Chad" golf outing on July 19 at Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee, Wis. General Manager Jason Clark, Head Coach Gary Compton, Director of Sales Brandon Stec, and WR/DB Scott Burnoski participated in the event, with proceeds going toward the purchase of a new wheelchair for Chad Murphy-Price.

"It's great to be able to help out and get Chad that much closer to his new wheelchair," Compton said. "We all had a blast at the event and we were glad to be a part of it."

Chad is a 25-year-old who lives with Cerebral Palsy and relies on a wheelchair to stay active and independent. His current model is nine years-old and is held together in some parts by duct tape and bungee cords. The 2006 Milwaukee Area Technical College grad and Waukesha, Wis. resident requires a new wheelchair to help him reach his goal of working in the graphics department for a sports team.

Chad hopes to raise a total of $42,000 for a motorized wheelchair that will provide him with the ability to lift to a standing position and recline to a laying flat position. To find out more about Chad and how you can help, visit www.wheelsforchad.com.
