Kenosha native Jamaine "Coco" Blalock is the newest member of the Milwaukee Iron. Coco began his career with the Milwaukee Mustangs in 2000. He played college football at Western Illinois and still lives in Kenosha. Coco played for the Green Bay Blizzard and Rio Grande Valley Dorados last season.
Milwaukee native, former Cleveland Brown and Seattle Seahawk Antoine Burns has signed a contract to play for the Milwaukee Iron. Burns spent the 2008 af2 season with the Green Bay Blizzard. Burns played his college football at the University of Minnesota. He is currently a school teacher in Milwaukee. He also played for the Houston Texans of the National Football league. He was an all Big Ten performer at Minnesota and set the kickoff return record for the Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football league in 2006.
Blue Aldridge, a 6' 2", 220 lb. defensive back from Cornell has signed with the Milwaukee Iron for the 2009 season. Aldridge began the 2008 season as a member of the Green Bay Blizzard. Aldridge is expected to add depth, strength and skill to the Iron defensive backfield.
Ricardo Lenhart who played his 2008 season with the Louisville Fire signed a contract with the Milwaukee Iron for the 2009 season. Lenhart is a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.
Arena football veteran kicker Alex Walls from the University of Tennessee was once called "...one of the greatest af2 kickers of al time." by a former coach. Walls signed a contract to play for the Milwaukee Iron in 2009.
Ryan Bell has significant experience in the AFL and af2. He played for the Quad City Steamwheelers of the af2 last season. He is a center and noseguard who goes 6'2" and weighs 330lbs. Coach Compton says he was signed for his potential to make a solid anchor in the middle of the Iron line.
