Millyard News from Saint John Mill Rats
What a great opening preseason weekend! Although we had the injury bug hit us (Eric Gilchrese) we saw great potential with our team, we saw a great comeback on Saturday, and we saw the emergence of a local hero in Mike Anderson. On top of that thousands of people thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were entertained and inspired.
We are excited to have added former league MVP Anthony Anderson to the roster as we embark on the road trip portion of our preseason. Tonight we face the Halifax Rainmen in their Rogers Slam Dunk Night at the Metro Centre. Follow us online at www.rainmenbasketball.ca at 7PM as we face a hostile crowd of 10,000 Halifax fans!
On Sunday we will be in Barre, VT to play the Vermont Frost Heaves at 2PM Eastern Time (watch our Facebook Page for a link to the webcast), and then up to Quebec City for a Monday 7PM tip off. All of this is giving us great preparation for our regular season home opener on Jan 2nd!
Season tickets are going fast we are now at approximately 2,000 fans, so be sure to get down to the Harbour Station Box Office to pick yours up as soon as possible. By buying season tickets you save on the box office fee for single game tickets, and they make great gifts!
