Millrats Sign Former Armor Wing

(Manchester, NH): The Manchester Millrats announce the signing of former Springfield Armor wing, Julian Allen.
Allen is a 6'5 player with tremendous athleticism and speed who can play multiple positions. He began this season with the Springfield Armor of the NBA Developmental league before being released. He scored 12 points while keying Springfield to a preseason win over the Maine Red Claws.
A native of Waterbury CT, Allen played his college ball at Georgia Southern where he posted averages of 11.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game in 2008-2009.
"We scouted Julian at several NBDL tryout camps and he was one of the top performers at each camp," stated Millrats GM Ian McCarthy, "he will help us defensively, rebounding the ball, and in transition."
Manchester announced the signing of former Millrat P.J. Young earlier today.
The Millrats hit the road on Saturday January 30th to face the Buffalo Stampede. And then on Tuesday February 2nd, Manchester travels north to Barre, Vermont to play the Vermont Frost Heaves.
