Millrats clinch Atlantic Division title

Quebec, PQ - Al Stewart lead seven Manchester Millrats in double figures with 16, and Manchester lead wire to wire in the Millrats 116-79 victory over Quebec.

Manchester, who was coming off a heartbreaking loss to Vermont on Friday night, established themselves early going on a 15-4 run to start the contest and never looked back as they lead by 16 at the end of one quarter. At one point in the contest, the Millrats had a 39 point lead as they cruised to the easy victory.

Manchester dominated all statistical categories as they outrebounded Quebec by five; hit four more three pointers, and their bench outscored the Kebs 54-9.

Aside from Stewart's 16, Sam Carey had 15 points while Alex Owumi had 13. For the Kebs, Jean-Phillipe Morin had 23 points and ten rebounds.

With the victory, the Millrats clinched the Atlantic Division title and have earned a spot in the PBL Playoffs.

Up next for the Millrats is a 7:00 contest next Sunday at Attack Athletics in Chicago as they take on the Throwbacks. Quebec heads to Barre, VT next Friday to take on the Frost Heaves.
