
Groove hand Buffalo their 12th straight loss

Augusta, GA- Roderick McGee led seven Augusta Groove in double figures with 21 as Augusta cruised to a 126-113 victory over struggling Buffalo.
Augusta lead for all but 1:01 of the contest and lead by as many as 23. Buffalo was able to put together a late run to close the final margin of defeat to 13.
Augusta would lead by nine at the end of one, would stretch the lead to 15 at the half, and then the Stampede would play the Groove even for the rest of the game, and actually outscored Augusta by two for the final 24 minutes.
For the Groove, Cory Sims and Donielle Davis added 20 points each, while Lance Leach had a double double with 11 points and ten boards. Derrick Payne had 28 points and nine boards to lead Buffalo.
Up next for the Groove is a 4:00 home contest on Sunday against Rochester. Buffalo closes out Wilmington's home schedule on Sunday with a 5:00 matchup against the Sea Dawgs at Cape Fear Community College.
Notes: Augusta improves to 8-7 on the year while Buffalo drops to 1-12. Buffalo actually outshot the Groove 52.3 percent to 51.0. The lone bright spot for Buffalo was their bench who outscored Augusta's 76-45.
