Saint John Riptide News Release
(SAINT JOHN, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats recovered from a slow start to roll the Windsor Express, 109-97, at Harbour Station.
The Express started out with a 20-9 lead before the Mill Rats got clicking and tied the score 23-23 after one quarter of action.
Saint John won the second quarter 31-23 to lead 54-46 at the half.
Windsor got within 89-80 in the second half but Saint John's lead peaked when they led 103-83, before closing out the game in style.
"This was a great win this time of year, to beat a quality squad like the Windsor Express," said Mill Rats Head Coach Rob Spon. "We are peaking as the season ends, and the guys are buying into their roles, which is great."
The Windsor Express have won the last two NBL Canada championships.
Anthony Anderson and Doug Herring Jr led the way with 21 points each, Johnny Mayhane added 16 and Chris Smith 15. Billy Rush and Kirk Williams Jr led Windsor with 17 each.

The Mill Rats are back at home on Sunday afternoon at 4PM to host the Island Storm.
Single game and flex tickets are on sale at the Harbour Station Box Office or by calling 506-657-1234 or by visiting www.harbourstation.ca.
