Saint John Riptide News Release

(Moncton, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats rallied once again on the road to come from behind late and beat the Moncton Miracles, 97-92, at the Moncton Coliseum.

The Mill Rats trailed early and often as the Miracles, who have yet to win a game, came out in front of the home crowd with alot of intensity and focus. Saint John rallied towards the end of the second quarter to narrow the deficit to just two at the break, 44-42.

The Miracles took a decisive 83-73 lead with just 5:31 remaining in the ball game. But timely scores and a stingy defense put the Mill Rats back in the game over the next 3 minutes. Antoine Tisby's running hook tied the game at 87 a piece for Saint John. A three pointer to beat the shot clock by Will Blalock with over a minute remaining gave the Mill Rats some breathing room. Anthony Anderson knocked down enough free throws down the stretch to preserve the win.

The game wraps up a five game road trip in eight days in which Saint John posted a record of 4-1. They improve to 4-4 overall while Moncton drops to 0-6.

Anthony Anderson led the Mill Rats with 19 points while Antoine Tisby added 18. Jazzmar Ferguson scored 22 for the Miracles.

Saint John return home for a trifecta of action beginning on Wednesday Nov 30th at Harbour Station versus the Summerside Storm.

Mill Rats single game and flex tickets are now on sale at the Harbour Station box office 657-1234 or the Mill Rats office 214-4454. The Mill Rats next home game is November 30th at Harbour Station.
