
Mikaël Diotte Wins the Kevin-Lowe Trophy

Boucherville, QC - The QMJHL is proud to announce that Mikaël Diotte of the Drummondville Voltigeurs wins the Kevin-Lowe as best defensive defenseman.
Diotte finished second in the QMJHL with a +55 rating, tied with Alex Carr (Huskies). Only Justin Gill of the Drakkar did better with +57. The four-season veteran also set personal records with 12 goals, 30 assists and 42 points. His excellent offensive and defensive play convinced the New Jersey Devils to give him an NHL entry-level contract.

Alex Carr, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies
In his third full season with the Huskies, Carr set personal marks with 61 games played, 7 goals, 24 assists and 31 points. More importantly, he finished second in the QMJHL with a +55 rating (tied with Mikaël Diotte), even though he faced the best opposing forwards night after night.
Pier-Olivier Roy, Victoriaville Tigres
In the absence of injured Tristan Luneau, Roy pulled out all the stops on the Tigres' blue line, shining with 50 points in 66 games, including a personal-high 10 goals. His closest pursuer among Tigres defensemen finished with 28 points. In his fourth season, Roy posted an excellent +37 rating.
