Honolulu Sharks News Release

Miguel Abreu lined a three-run home run over the left-center field fence to put Honolulu up for good as the Sharks stole a 7-5 win from the Waikiki BeachBoys tonight at Hans L'Orange Park. Honolulu (15-15) was trailing 5-4 in the top of the ninth when Abreu crushed the Daniel Griffin offering, and put his squad up for good.

Fuminori Yokogawa supplemented the Honolulu offense with a 3-4 evening including two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. Teammate Brandon Snyder chipped in two hits and an RBI.

Katsuyuki Aihara (1-1, 10.13 ERA) earned the victory after holding the BeachBoys scoreless in the eighth inning, and Tyler Wilson shut the door in the ninth to earn his second save of the campaign.

Lucas Duda paced Waikiki (15-16) with three hits including a double and a fourth inning, two-run home run. Griffin was saddled with the loss as the San Francisco Giants prospect surrendered four runs in the ninth frame.

The BeachBoys will meet the North Shore Honu tomorrow at noon, while the Sharks tangle with the West Oahu CaneFires at 6:30 p.m. Both games will be held at Hans L'Orange Park.
