The Mighty Mussels begin another homestand Tuesday, welcoming the Bradenton Marauders (PIT) to Hammond Stadium for a six-game set.

RHP Pierson Ohl is set to pitch the series opener, opposed by RHP Bubba Chandler.

Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on the Mighty Mussels Baseball Network.

MUSSELS MASH WAY TO SUNDAY WIN

The Mighty Mussels pounded out eight runs to beat Tampa in the series finale Sunday. Carlos Aguiar finished a single away from the cycle, crushing his eighth home run in the win. The Mussels used a season-high six pitchers on a bullpen day at Hammond Stadium. Niklas Rimmel went a season-high 2.1 innings to get the win.

JULY MASHERS

After the Mussels' pitching dominated the first three months of the season, it was the offense that stole the show in the month of July. While the pitching staff posted it's highest ERA in any month (3.98), the Fort Myers hitting broke out with a .756 OPS and 26 home runs in 23 games. Here are the individual leaders:

COMMANDING THE STRIKE ZONE

The Mighty Mussels have done a great job of commanding the strike zone on both sides of the ball in 2022. Entering Tuesday, Fort Myers' hitters are second in Florida State League in walks (393) and first on-base percentage (.340) by a wide margin. The Mussels' pitchers have walked the fewest batters in the circuit (272), helping them post the best WHIP (1.17).
