
Midwest League Announces 2008 Executive Award Winners

Beloit, WI (10/10/08) --- The Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs is pleased to announce its 2008 Executive Award Winners.
The four league awards include the Larry MacPhail Promotional Trophy, the John H. Johnson President's Trophy, the Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year and the Midwest League Executive of the Year.
The Larry MacPhail Promotional Trophy is presented to the club who has done the best job in the area of promotions during the past season.
The John H. Johnson President's Trophy is awarded to the club who best exemplifies the standards of the complete baseball franchise, such as financial success of operation, contributions to baseball in the community and baseball industry, and long-term franchise stability.
The Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year is awarded to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to her club, league or baseball during the past season.
The Midwest League Executive of the Year is presented to an individual who has done the most successful job for baseball during the past season. Judgment criteria areas include concessions, general park operations, ticket sales and overall baseball operations.
