Michigan Warriors News Release

The Michigan Warriors, along with others in the International hockey community are showing support for Breast Cancer Awareness.

On Friday October 29, 2010 the Warriors will be wearing special Pink Jerseys in their game vs. the Motor City Metal Jackets at Perani Arena in Flint Mi. After the game the Warriors will be holding an auction of the game-worn Pink jerseys, to help raise money to support Breast Cancer awareness.

In addition to wearing the special Pink Jerseys, Michigan Warriors players will also be using pink tape on their sticks to help show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness. With the support of a donation by JB Austin companies, an additional $6.00 per game will be donated for each Warriors player who uses pink tape on their hockey sticks during the month of October.

The Warriors started using the pink tape during their first home game in the month of October, on Friday the 15th vs. the St. Louis Bandits.

The Michigan Warriors will also be donating a portion of the gate revenues from the October 29 game, to the Susan G Komen foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Michigan Warriors would like to extend invitations for all hockey fans across Mid, and South Eastern Michigan to attend their game on October 29, 2010 and show support for Breast Cancer Awareness, which is highlighted during the month of October every year.

For more information regarding Breast Cancer Awareness, Warriors fans are encouraged to visit the Michigan Warriors website www.mywarriors.net for a link to the Susan G Komen Foundation website.
