Miami Manatees News Release

The Miami Manatees today announced that Manashe, the Manatees mascot will be making her historic first airplane flight. Wearing the costume will be the Co-Founder of the WHA2 and Miami Manatees Team Owner David Waronker.

Manashe will be departing from Ft Lauderdale International Airport and will be boarding Southwest Airlines flight 1013 at 4:00 on Monday, June 23rd.

Waronker will be available to answer any media questions and meet fans. Please RSVP Miami Director of Communications Mark Fischel to make any special arrangements or if there are any further questions.

The Miami Manatees make their home in the Miami Arena and will face off against the Lakeland Loggerheads, Jacksonville Barracudas, Orlando Seals, Macon Trax, and a yet-to-be-named Central Alabama team in late October in the new WHA2.

Season Tickets for the Miami Manatees are now on sale. For further information, please contact the Manatees at (305) 536-7825.
