August 13, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Miami FC News Release
Miami, Fla. - The Miami Football Club hits the road again to face off against a young Atlanta United 2 side. The game will occur at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Orange and Blue are coming off a 2-1 home loss at the hands of FC Tulsa in Miami, Fla., on Wednesday night. Captain Paco Craig lifted the home side with a headed goal in the 25th minute of the outing. However, Tulsa scored back-to-back two goals quickly and held onto the lead through the end of the match.
As a result, Miami FC missed its opportunity to go 12 points clear from a non-playoffs position.
Back on the road after 1-2 home loss vs. FC Tulsa
Head coach Anthony Pulis deployed the same exact starting lineup used against New Mexico United over the weekend.
The game was uneventful until captain Paco Craig pulled Miami FC ahead in the 25th minute. Winger Joaquín Rivas sent an out-swinging cross from a free-kick to the second post. There, Craig met the ball with his head and powered it through goalkeeper Austin Wormell and into the goal.

Unfortunately for Miami, the lead was short-lived. Former MFC forward Darío Suárez equalized less than two minutes after going down on the scoreboard. And by the 40th minute, Tulsa overtook Miami thanks to a goal from winger Noah Powder.
FC Tulsa sat back in the second half, securing its first three points on the road.
