
Mets Hold off Stone Crabs 2-1

T.J. Rivera had a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh and drove in two runs to lift the Mets past the Charlotte Stone Crabs 2-1 on Monday.
The Mets won their third straight game and earned a series victory over the Stone Crabs.
Charley Thurber doubled in the seventh inning and scored on Rivera's tiebreaking single to center with two outs.
Rivera also had a two-out, RBI single in the fifth inning to score Travis Taijeron.
Marcos Camarena received a no-decision in his second start of the season. Camarena tossed 4 2/3 innings while allowing one run on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Randy Fontanez picked up his second win in relief as he pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out two.
T.J. Chism tossed two scoreless innings and earned a six-out save.
The Mets will look to earn a series sweep against the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Noah Syndergaard will make his fourth start of the season for the Mets.
