
McCusker named Player of the Week

Alpena forward Jimmy McCusker struck for four goals and two assists last weekend as the IceDiggers went 1-0-1 against St. Louis. On Friday, the 18-year-old scored three goals in Alpena's 6-5, come-from-behind overtime victory. The next night, the Novi, Mich., native recorded a goal and two assists as the IceDiggers fell to the Bandits in overtime, 6-5. He was also a plus-1 on the weekend.
"Jimmy works hard every night and it's good to see his hard work pay off," said IceDiggers coach-GM Kenny Miller. "He leads by example and last weekend was a good example of his leadership."
