McAllen Toros Announce Inaugural Open Player Tryouts
December 4, 2012 - Lone Star Football League (LSFL)
McAllen Toros News Release
MCALLEN, Texas---- The McAllen Toros of the Lone Star Football League are set to conduct local tryouts for the inaugural season.
Prospects will undergo individual and group training sessions under a professional testing environment throughout the course of the tryout.
Head Coach and General Manager Schuyler "Skyler" Anderson points out that " I look to sign a hand full of guys from the Magic. I look to build around some standout players and build a championship team for the 2013 season. From last year's local tryout I signed two guys who played the entire season with the Magic."
Anderson also added that "Hopefully the turnout will be better this year in order to add more local talented players to the Toros Roster. I look for smart players who think when they are tired. I want players who can take their abilities and perform within my system. It's always a positive thing when we can add local talent to our roster. It gives our hometown crowd a chance to see talented players again after they have had a chance to develop their skills at the college and professional ranks."
