Boston, MA - Mayor Martin J. Walsh will honor the Boston Pride on Friday, April 22 at 4:00PM at Samuel Adams Park in Faneuil Hall.

"This past season the Boston Pride team made history by becoming the first Isobel Cup Champions," said Mayor Marty Walsh. "As a city that is home to some of the best sports teams and fans in the country, we are excited to celebrate with them on this enormous victory that has made the entire city proud."

Last month, the Pride won the inaugural Isobel Cup in the historic first season of the National Women's Hockey League. During the ceremony, the Mayor will honor Denna Laing, who was injured during the Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium on December 31.

"We are incredibly grateful to receive this recognition and outpouring of support from Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston," said General Manager Hayley Moore. "It is an honor to add the Boston Pride to the long list of champions here in Boston. We hope to keep the Isobel Cup in Title Town for years to come!"
