Saint John Riptide News Release
On Friday March the 1st the Saint John Riptide will take on the Moncton Magic at Harbour Station in the second annual Battle of 506 game and Saint John Mayor Don Darling has added an extra "curl" to this years event.
If the game attracts over 5000 fans, Mayor Darling will say goodbye to his curls and receive a buzz cut at center court during the half-time break of the game.
Last season the Battle of 506 took place on March 29th in front of 5500 fans at Harbour Station. The Mayor is again doing his part to help fill Harbour Station, purchasing 1000 tickets for the event personally again this season.
"Last season was such a big success we really hope that fans who enjoyed last years event will come back this year and show their support by purchasing tickets. We want to show the province what Saint John is made of." said Jessica Smith on behalf of the Riptide organization
Tickets for the event are on sale now via the Harbour Station Box office or by contacting the Riptide directly at info@sjriptide.ca.
