EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC (5-5-9) is set to face Eastern conference side, FC Tulsa (6-7-7) on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. CST. This will be the first meeting between the sides since the 2021 season.
RGV FC are coming off another good road performance as they managed a 1-1 draw against a heavily favored home El Paso Locomotive side in last week's action. Despite going ahead in the match, the Toros had to tightly battle all match against a pesky Locomotive FC offense who kept Tyler Deric busy on the night, forcing him to make five saves, giving up just one goal.
FC Tulsa are streaking, reaching four straight victories going into Friday's match as they prepare to clash with the undefeated RGV FC side who has turned heads in the recent weeks as they have displayed a respectable defense and a pair of solid offense performances to keep their playoff chase alive in the mid-sector of the season. This game pans out to be a one-goal difference maker, it is going to come down to focus and playing a solid match altogether to remain undefeated going in to Week 21.
