ATL UTD 2 picked up its first win of the 2020 season when it defeated The Miami FC 4-3 last time out. Interim head coach Tony Annan won on his touchline debut for the team, while Amadou Macky Diop scored twice and David Mejia added his first professional goal. Macky Diop was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week Presented by Cleer Audio on Tuesday. Atlanta looks to carry that momentum into Wednesday's contest against Charleston Battery.

Charleston is looking to rebound after a 2-0 defeat to Group H leaders Tampa Bay Rowdies on July 31. Both of Charleston's wins this season have come against ATL UTD 2. Zeiko Lewis leads the team with two goals and an assist. Goalkeeper Phil Breno has kept two clean sheets so far this season for the Battery.

Wednesday's match marks the third of four meetings this season between ATL UTD 2 and Charleston Battery. Both of the first two meetings have gone to Charleston. They won 1-0 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in the season opener, then picked up a 3-0 victory on July 24 at Patriot's Point Soccer Complex.
