Howell, NJ - Sky Blue FC (3-11-4, 13 points) heads to Houston on Saturday, August 24th to play the Dash at BBVA Stadium at 8:30 p.m. ET. Sky Blue FC is carrying momentum from two positive results in Week 18 with a 2-1 win over Chicago on August 14th and a 1-1 draw to Reign FC on August 18th.

Preview
Sky Blue sits in ninth place with 13 points and a record of 3-11-4. The Dash sit three spots ahead, in sixth place with 22 points and a record of 6-7-5. Sky Blue's all-time record against the Dash is 6-6-3. With a win and a draw in Sky Blue's last two games, the team is looking to go unbeaten in three consecutive matches for the first time since July 2017.
Captain Sarah Killion has been holding down the midfield for Sky Blue. For the 2019 NWSL season, Killion has won possession back for the team 162 times, more than any other player this year. Since 2016, only one other player in the league has regained possession back more than Killion (586 times). Sky Blue's rookies are starting to heat up on the field. Paige Monaghan scored her first career goal and the game winner in the 2-1 win over Chicago on August 14th. Julie James Doyle earned her first career assist, which set up Monaghan for the game winning goal against Chicago. Kenie Wright notched her first career assist in her first career start against Reign FC on August 18th to help lead the team to a 1-1 draw.
Opponent
The Houston Dash are coming off a 1-0 win against the Orlando Pride at Exploria Stadium in Orlando. Rachel Daly scored the only goal off a penalty kick. The Dash have been having trouble at home with only winning two of their nine home matches this year. Houston has won both games against Sky Blue this year by a 1-0 score line. The Dash have scored a total of 17goals this season and have the third lowest shot conversion rate in the league.
Rachel Daly has five goals in nine games against Sky Blue, tying her for the most she has scored against any team in the league. Daly currently leads the Dash attack with five goals this season. Following behind Daly in the attack is Sofia Huerta and Kristie Mewis who have three goals each this season. Huerta has been providing a lot of opportunities for the Dash with more than 30 chances created this season and has notched a total of three assists.
Sky Blue FC vs. Houston Dash Rewind
The two teams last played each other at BBVA Stadium on July 28th. Sky Blue fell to Houston 1-0 after Rachel Daly scored the lone goal in the 22nd minute.
Looking ahead
Sky Blue will return home to Yurcak Field on September 7th for the club's Kids Club Day to face the North Carolina Courage at 3 p.m. ET. This will be the second meeting of the season for the two teams. Their last matchup ended in a 0-0 tie.
