KANSAS CITY (Dec 1, 2016) - The Major Arena Soccer League announced today that Juan Carlos Gonzalez was named the Player of the Week for Week 5. The Ontario Fury midfielder scored two goals in the first half of last Friday's game against Turlock. Then as the Express mounted a comeback effort Gonzalez put the game away with his third goal of the night against the sixth attacker with 28 seconds remaining in the game.
Ontario was able to hold off the late game surge from Turlock and remain only a game and a half behind the Tacoma Stars in the Pacific Division.
Gonzalez and the Fury are idle this weekend, but will head to face the division leading stars on December 10th at 6:05 p.m. PT. That game, like all MASL games this season, can be found on the league's newest channel, MASLtv
Fans can find all the latest news, scores and information about the MASL at the league's new website, MASLSoccer.com.
