MASL Opens December with Eight Games

KANSAS CITY- December gets started with eight games this weekend. All games can be found on the league's new YouTube channel, MASLtv.

Syracuse Silver Knights vs Cedar Rapids Rampage - Friday, December 2nd 7:30 p.m. ET

Cedar Rapids takes their first trip outside of the Central Division to face the Silver Knights Friday night. The Rampage hope to continue their somewhat surprising turn-around behind November's MASL Player of the Month, Gordy Gurson. Syracuse hopes to stay above .500 after dropping a tough decision last week to their new Eastern Division rival, the Florida Tropics.

El Paso Coyotes vs Dallas Sidekicks - Friday, December 2nd 8:35 p.m. ET

The Coyotes are still in search of their first win in MASL play this season as they host the Dallas Sidekicks on Friday. Meanwhile the Sidekicks are hoping to keep the game within the regulation 60 minutes. For the first-time in history, Dallas had two consecutive games decided by a shoot-out tiebreaker. Unfortunately for them, both resulted in losses.

San Diego Sockers vs Tacoma Stars - Friday, December 2nd 10:35 p.m. ET

These two rivals begin the fight for divisional dominance on Friday night. MASL Goalkeeper of the Month Danny Waltman leads the Tacoma Stars into San Diego leading the Sockers by only half a game in the Pacific Division. San Diego hopes to climb the table and defend their undefeated record at home so far this season.

Harrisburg Heat vs Cedar Rapids Rampage - Saturday, December 3rd 7:05 p.m. ET

The Rampage continue their east coast trip with a stop in Harrisburg. Both of these teams have seen significant improvement this season as they spent much of last season at the bottom of the standings and now find themselves within reach of first place in their respective divisions.

Florida Tropics SC vs Baltimore Blast - Saturday December 3rd 7:05 p.m. ET

The Baltimore Blast travel to Florida for round two of this divisional match-up. They overpowered the Tropics two weeks ago at home 7-1. Baltimore featured 7 different scorers in that win. Florida hasn't sat idle since that game, playing a tough Harrisburg team last weekend and coming from behind to beat Syracuse the next night

Kansas City Comets vs Chicago Mustangs - Saturday, December 3rd 8:05 p.m. ET

MASL Coach of the Month for November, Armando Gamboa, brings his undefeated Chicago Mustangs to Kansas City to face the Comets. These two soccer heavyweights have fought some memorable battles in recent years, but Kansas City owns a 5-1 lifetime record against the Mustangs.

Milwaukee Wave vs St Louis Ambush - Saturday, December 3rd 8:05 p.m. ET

The Wave have been riding a roller coaster this season that has seen them lose big to the Kansas City Comets and twice to the Cedar Rapids Rampage, then turn around and get a road win against the defending champion Baltimore Blast and a revenge-style home win against the Comets. The Ambush are still seeking their first win as head coach Tony Glavin continues to reshape his young squad into a team that can find success on the field.

Atletico Baja vs Tacoma Stars - Sunday, December 4th 8:05 p.m. ET

Tacoma plays their second game of the weekend and their first south of the border as they face off against Atletico Baja. This will be the first matchup of the teams this season. Baja were on the losing end at home for the first time last weekend against Sonora and they hope to get back on a winning streak behind leading scorer Christian Gutierrez who has nine goals and four assists (13 points) so far this season.

The MASL was formed in 2014 by teams from the Professional Arena Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. The league represents the highest level of professional arena soccer in the world, and features teams across North America, with teams playing coast-to-coast in the United States and Mexico.
