MASL Names Week One Players of the Week

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the Week One Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week winners. The Baltimore Blast's Lucas Roque earned the offensive win and Mesquite's Eduardo "Pollo" Cortes won the defensive honors.
Roque earned the first star for the Blast in their home opener after recording four points, including a hat trick. The veteran forward is in his seventh season in the MASL all with Baltimore. Last season he had 39 points during the regular season and four in the playoffs.
Pollo earned the win Saturday night with his new team, the Mesquite Outlaws, stopping .923% of shots and allowing only one goal. Pollo earned Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week Seven last season.
