Marcus Nash named Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Year

NEW YORK â Las Vegas offensive specialist MARCUS NASH (6-4, 210, Tennessee) was selected the 2004 Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Year as voted by the AFL head coaches, players, fans and Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA). Nash earned First-Team All-Arena honors on June 2.
Nash, in his second season, set a new AFL single-season record for receptions (154) and tied the mark for touchdowns (46). His 1,771 receiving yards ranked second in the league. The former Volunteer added three rushing touchdowns and was named Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Game five times and Offensive Player of the Month in March.
Other candidates included: Arizona's SHERDRICK BONNER, Colorado's DAMIAN HARRELL, Indiana's ADRIAN MC PHERSON, Los Angeles' TONY GRAZIANI and CHRIS JACKSON, New Orleans' AARON BAILEY and San Jose's MARK GRIEB.
