The American Basketball Association Georgia Gwizzlies will be the first professional basketball team from Macon to play in a pro basketball playoff format March 14-16."First and foremost we want to thank the Macon Centreplex Director Regina McDuffie and Macon TV stations 13 and 24" states Gwizzlies GM Embry Malone.Ms McDuffie did everything she could so that the city of Macon would have pro basketball for the next 10 years or more say Malone.The Gwizzlies will play the West Texas Whirlwinds 7:30 Friday March 14.Gwizzlies board member and Malone's personal friend Martin Luther King III is excited for the team and will attend the games.
